Sergey Sorin, MD, a renowned healer, educator, author and Reiki Master, began his career in traditional medicine studying the fields of Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He earned his degree from SUNY Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn School of Medicine.

Dr. Sorin has been the recipient of the Kalberman Award for Excellence in Chemistry and has an advanced certificate in Health Care Management from SUNY Health Science Center at Stony Brook University. He has served as a Medical Director at Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Bath, NY as well serving as an administrator at Delphi Healthcare. Dr. Sorin founded a Physician Weight Loss and Wellness center and also served as a Medical Director for a Surgical Weight Loss Practice. His travels have included a medical mission to Honduras, traveling assignments in the Virgin Islands as well as serving people in Kotzebue, Alaska and nearby native villages. He also travels to Peru and other destinations where he studies Shamanic Medicine.
In Dr. Sergey Sorin’s search for deeper meaning and purpose in his life, his path crossed another physician, Dr. Brian Dailey, a long-time veteran of the Monroe Institute and a true healer and Reiki Master. Dr. Sorin became a Reiki Master-Teacher and later joined the Monroe Institute’s Professional Division. Now he serves as an Advisory Board member and is on the Institutional Review Board for Research Development at the institute.
Dr. Sorin is especially interested in education and teaching and has been involved in the training of physicians and other health care providers in the academic setting as well as in community settings including having been an instructor for the American Heart Association.
Dr. Sorin is collaborating with Dr. Dailey in developing and conducting workshops focused on achieving and experiencing the optimal human potential (you are more, let’s explore!). The goal is to educate health professionals and individuals about a holistic approach to healing by combining conventional and complementary and alternative modalities.
