Using Hemi-Sync® Before, During and After Surgery while healing from surgery …

Research indicates patients heal faster and require less pain medications.

I believe in the benefits of using Hemi-Sync®. I have read the research and I have benefitted myself. I also read a study indicating that a group of test subjects used 4.5 less analgesics than patients who did not use Hemi-Sync when healing from surgery.

Personally, I have used it during two different procedures with the permission of my surgeons. Although, I did not have a means to compare … my two procedures were very different, I do believe Hemi-Sync helped me be more relaxed and reduced my need for pain medication. Before one surgery, the attending nurse told me as she attempted to take my pulse. “You are the calmest person I have ever seen before surgery.”

What I will never do…at least that is my story and I plan to stick to it…is forego pain medication or anesthesia during surgery. When it comes to that kind of stuff, I am a sissy! Yes, I believe it works, but I am not willing to test it on “that” level.

I consider someone who does a brave person. This past week at The Monroe Institute’s Professional Division meeting, I met one such person. Her name is Gari Carter and in the early 1980s, she was in a life-altering car crash resulting in the need for reconstructive surgery that spanned ten years. Gari explained: “When I regained consciousness, I discovered that my face was gone!” According to Gari’s website: “Through ten years of multiple surgeries, doctors created a true ‘bionic woman,’ gradually rebuilding Gari’s jaws, cheekbones, nose and skin, restoring her natural beauty.”

It was during her third surgery that she was introduced to Hemi-Sync, specifically the Surgical Support Series. These exercises helped her control pain without anesthesia and medication while healing from surgery.

You might find this video about Gari’s story interesting. Gari’s book is most inspiring and I highly recommend

Here’s hoping I never require any more surgery in this lifetime. But, if I do have the need, I know exactly what I will do. I will find a surgeon who will allow me to use sound technology during and after surgery. I never go to the dentist without it!

When I used it during surgery before, I also used the sleep headphones. I played Hemi-Sync 24/7 for 10 days except when I was taking a shower. If I was watching TV, a movie or talking to someone, I would turn the volume down very low, but I kept the frequencies playing constantly.

The titles I used: Surgical Support Series and Hemi-Sync Meditation (it’s a pink/white noise that you can turn down low and not hear). Within the Surgical Support Series, you also have one for sleeping (Surf) and another for helping you go to sleep and pain modulation (Energy Walk).
